Baron de Montesquieu Speech
Achievements
Montesquieu was apart of the Bordeaux Parliament, and he was also wealthy. He also wrote satire making fun of life in France. Finally, he got his education from the College of Juilly and Académie Française.
Influence of 18th century.
Although he wrote satire, he also wrote The Spirit of the Laws, which said that government should be split up into three branches in order to divide power evenly. This helped write the Constinution.
Impact on Modern World
Without the writing of The Spirit of The Laws, democracy around the world wouldn't be the same, as there would be no even divide in power unlike how it is today in America, for example.
